$6000 for Women Pursuing Sports Administration


The NCAA offers 12 scholarships to women and 12 scholarships to ethnic minorities who are college graduates and will be entering the
first semester of their initial postgraduate studies. Applicants must be accepted into a sports administration or related program. Applicants must be pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics such as coaching, sports medicine, athletics administration and other careers that provide a direct service to intercollegiate athletics. Each award is for $6000.
The Degree Completion program is for student athletes who have completed their eligibility for athletics-related aid at a Division I schoo] and be within 30 hours of obtaining their degree. They can be funded five semesters part-time or two semesters full-time. They also offer eight $3,000 scholarships to college juniors majoring in sports journalism. Each year more than $1.7 million in scholarships is awarded. The NCAA also awards a variety of postgraduate scholarships.

Information Handling Services/SAE Women Engineers Committee Scholarship was established to encourage young women and minority students who are graduating from high school to enter the field of engineering. The Clare Boothe Luce Program is intended "to encourage women to enter, study, graduate, and teach" in fields where there have been many obstacles to their advancement. These fields include physics, chemistry, biology, meteorology, engineering, computer science, and mathematics.

The National Federation of the Blind is able to offer a broad array of scholarships to applicants who are legally blind and studying full-time in a post-secondary institution in the United States. Junior Miss Competition Rewards Winners With College Scholarships


This nationwide scholarship program's purpose is to recognize, reward and encourage excellence while promoting self-esteem in young women. Winners of local competition advance to state competition and all 50 state winners will travel to Mobile, AL to compete for the title of America's Junior Miss. The recipient of the America's Junior Miss title will receive a $30,000 college scholarship. State, local and national scholarships awarded annually total approximately $5 million. The Blinded Veterans Association offers its Kathern F. Gruber Scholarship Program to dependent children and spouses of blinded veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.
